LBD Under $50 + Life Update

Good morning!! I did take a little break from the blog after posting ever day for a month. What a week it has been! I have been extremely busy with it being right in the middle of online school at home and midterms… insanity. I also got accepted to all the schools I applied to! Still waiting in FIT… eye roll. It does feel surreal that in 2 months I will have a new home! And I can say with complete confidence I have absolutely no idea where that will be 🙂 Every time I think I know which school I want to go to I end up second guessing and watching videos that sway me towards another. On Sunday I will be going to visit URI and SCAD- Super excited to finally be going to Rhode Island, I’ve been dreaming of this place forever. Ive never been to Savannah either!!! Im hoping that will make my decision easier once I visit the schools, but it could make it even harder!!!!!!! Ok I promised I would never make my blog my diary so as promised here are some cute pics that Jeffrey took & my FAVORITE dress at the moment!!!!!!!!!! BTW ITS UNDER $40!! (scroll to bottom to shop)

Funny Face vibes??? Haven’t seen it? Go watch it. It has Audrey in it & its good. Today Im sharing this look from Jcrew! I didn’t really like this vest until I saw it in this color… I die. Then I had the trouble of what to pair it with… I didn’t want to go too over the top. So some statement earrings, all black, and some pink booties!

5 Beauty Products I Swear By

These are my go-to products. Products I use everyday and absolutely love!!!

  1. Covergirl clump crusher

This mascara I have been using forever and I will never use another!!!! Its also super cheap.

2. Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser

This I use day and night it keeps my skin super moisturized and clear.

3.  Eye Gel

This has diminished my dark eye circles hard core and I just started using it!!! Use it in the morning and at night.

4. Illusion Skin Tint

I talked about this foundation in one of my previous blog posts you can find HERE. But I really love it! I have dry skin, and it doesn’t dry out my skin at all. Since its a tint, its also super light weight.

5. Living Proof Dry Shampoo

Seriously the best. Since I have super dry skin, I don’t like drying out my hair even more and I only wash it 2-3 times a week. This is the perfect product just to give your hair a little more life and volume!

Every Day Dry Skin Makeup Routine

Now that its fall, my skin gets super dry. I already have dry skin to begin with so I always dread the fall weather + my face. Its super dry and flakey and gross. I wanted to share some products I use regularly during the fall (make up wise).

  1. I always put on vaseline! Every morning I wake up with super dry skin because I have bad allergies so areas around my nose and mouth get dry almost every day. So the first thing I do is just put vaseline on those areas.
  2. If I don’t work I use this AMAZING concealer. Its hard for me to find good foundations and concealers that don’t dry out my skin even more. So this one I highly recommend. If I am working, I use the illusion foundation. This foundation is super hydrating, I love it.
  3. Lastly, I use my favorite highlight/bronzer/blush just to finish the look!

NYC + ATX

SHOP THE OUTFIT

My two favorite cities! New York City and Austin, Texas. I love this city! Austin is so beautiful and so much fun. These photos were taken at the Hope Outdoor Gallery, a series of walls that are covered in graffiti and art. Perfect photo op. You can bring spray paint and paint whatever you want, wherever you want. And it has the BEST view!

My sweatshirt is from J.Crew and sold out pretty quick the first time it was in stores so now that its back, get one!! Its so comfy and actually lightweight. I like that it is lightweight so I can layer with a collared shirt. These shorts are also from J.Crew and are the CUTEST. They’re also under $50!! I would go a size down in these because after wearing them all day they became pretty loose.

Botanical Gardens + Free People

DRESS

I’m so excited about this post. I got this two piece set a couple of weeks ago from Free People and I have been dying to wear it. This last Friday I took a little road trip to Austin, TX. First place we went were these beautiful Botanical Gardens in the Zilker Park area. Seriously, so pretty! If you ever travel to ATX I highly suggest it! Just maybe not in the summertime when its 100 degrees outside 🙂  Anyway, this dress is under $150, which I think is a steal considering its from Free People. Super light-weight and very dramatic, yet simple at the same time. Lastly, my extensions are Amber Fillerup Clarks Barefoot Blonde Hair 🙂

P.S. thank you Dylan & Cedrick for the stunning photos!

Beauty + Faves

Today I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite cosmetics that I use on my face daily during the summer time! To shop the products just click on the product name in the description under the photos. For a discount on the lemon drop & lipstick below (or the whole mikasabeauty site) use code ELISEBATTENBNSS25.  First thing I use is this Mario Badescu facial spray and spray it on my face and the lemon drop blender! Then I apply the Jentry Kelley tinted primer which is light coverage and great for summer time. I love this foundation because it blends super well and isn’t orangey at all. This PIXI by petra powder I apply to my whole face after the foundation has sit for a little bit. I use a super light one because I hate looking orange.

I have been using this highlight forever. It’s like a highlight/bronzer/blush all in one. It’s seriously awesome. To keep my lips moisturized I first use the rose lollipop lip balm and then top it off with this mikasa beauty lip stick that I LOVE. It stays on all day long, I didn’t need to apply it once after putting it on. This one is the color Havana.

Lastly is my FAVORITE mascara ever. You can get this at any drug store. I’ve used this mascara for years and I love it so much and will never use another one.

Hope you enjoyed!!
